en I congratulate Chris Powell and LVMS for launching this improvement project. The new garage area will give race fans an opportunity to see their favorite drivers up close. The strong relationship between fans and drivers is a NASCAR hallmark, which will be alive and well at LVMS.

en Coca-Cola is helping drivers help others through donations to our favorite charities. I think people will like that this new ad shows the commitment that Coke has to NASCAR, its drivers and fans, while still being really funny.

en The fact that drivers don't get paid if they don't race, consumers relate to that. Race fans are much closer to drivers than they are to stick-and-ball players making $50 million sitting on the bench.

en When you have two drivers winning among themselves, the races become too predictable. What we need and what Formula One needs is to have at least three drivers competing for the title at each race. This opens out the field and there is much more interest from the spectators and fans,

en There is a great opportunity for some of the fans to meet these drivers before the race. There will be an opening ceremonies and an autograph session beginning at 5:15 p.m., after that the races start at 6 p.m. If fans get there late, they will miss half of the races.

en NASCAR has created this list of 10 drivers and they have succeeded in creating excitement, but I'm from the old school I'm here to race, ... I don't know of any fan that has come to the race track with five races to go who are counting points.  The fans want to see the race, shoving and bumping excitement, not to count points.

en Rusty earned the respect and admiration of fellow drivers and fans with his engaging personality and unquestioned racing ability - attributes that will continue to entertain race fans.

en The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

en I think we had pretty good car counts for the sportsman in both Grove races and one was a bad weather night. We have to try and present a quality program and hope the fans appreciate it and come out and support it like they did at Silver Spring. Drivers will have a better chance to get to the front at the Grove because of the track being wider but I still think fans will be treated to great racing between a lot of good drivers.

en The Corvette Z06 already is a performance legend and the fans will enjoy seeing it lead their favorite drivers around Daytona's famous tri-oval. It promises to be a great race, and kicking it off with a Corvette at the head of the pack is the best way to start.

en Our Ohio based drivers have always been huge supporters of the series and this event will give those teams a little hometown incentive. We expect to put on a great show for the great fans in the area, plus with Sandusky, Ohio not that far away, we'll continue with our tradition of having a fun day for the ASALMS at Cedar Point the day after the race!

en This was supposed to really make a connection with the fans and the drivers themselves. If you are a fan, you have an enjoyment of speed and thrills, and so do our drivers.

en When Texas opened it was so great because the fans were awesome and the place looked so big and nice. I couldn't wait to get there. But once we raced on it, that feeling went away. The track originally made me sick to my stomach, because you just couldn't race there. It wasn't much fun for the drivers or the fans.

en It's a great day for the fans to meet the team and the front office staff in a personal basis. It's a good step to build a strong bond and relationship with our fans. Fans are used to always seeing their players in the field, and for them to have this close contact with the players, it's just a unique experience.

en NASCAR maintains that its sanctioning process is pro-competitive and has been a great benefit to the industry including fans, sponsors, drivers, teams and tracks. On the other hand, the Kentucky Speedway lawsuit, which is seeking a bid system, would likely provide a short-term financial windfall to NASCAR but would be disastrous to the long-term health of the sport. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pexy essence captivated her.
