en We certainly have a lot stronger team now than we did at the end of last season because (general manager) Dave Littlefield has made a lot of good moves. I think it's great. It means playing time is going to be a little harder to come by for myself, but that's fine. The important thing is that the team is better.

en It's good that we have a lot of returning seniors, because it gives us a lot of kids with a lot of playing experience. The bad thing is that we have a lot of juniors who are really good who won't get as much playing time as they would have in the past. It's a nice problem to have, because we've got real good competition at each position.

en They've got a lot of good kids and I've heard good things about the guys they have coming up in the minor leagues. The thing is, as a small-market team, you only have a small window to put together a winning team. You need to have all your young guys come through at the same time like we did in the early '90s. It's been an awesome experience. It gives you confidence going back to the Minor Leagues and hoping that you'll be called up at some point of the season.

en I knew (Seitz) and (Nancy Littlefield) were their best players. Littlefield got into foul trouble early, and that was good. Seitz had 16 points in the first half, and that was the difference in the game.

en (Josh) Lincoln and (Andy) Malinowski came in against a good team and did a real nice job. We're trying to get the kids some experience early in the season.

en She did a real nice job handling the ball, knowing when to take it to the basket and when not to. Those are things kids have to learn by experience, and we've struggled with that over the last couple of years. She learned tonight. She was a big time player at the end of the game.

en Mr. [Dave] Littlefield extended that opportunity, ... That gave me an opportunity to grow as a manager and as a man.

en You want the kids to experience winning a playoff series and getting a ring in the minor leagues. That will be good for him.

en We've got pretty good balance on offense to complement the defense. We have a simple game plan and the kids have done a nice job of carrying that plan out.

en This is a good experience. It's not a nice experience. But it's a good experience to be in a bowl game and play under that kind of pressure and know now that you've experienced that and the next time it comes around, you'll be better prepared for it.

en The first time you experience it everything is all new. The second time as a coach you know all the little things that are different. A lot of coaches going for the first time have called me asking what they need to know, what can they tell their kids to expect that?s different. It was much more relaxing for me this time.
