They're recruiting him as an athlete ... they expect him to be a cornerback, especially with his athleticism. But he's the kind of kid who could play on either side of the ball. He made some big plays when he got his hands on the ball, and he played just about every snap for us.

You've got to always want the ball, ... You've got two athletes right there trying to make a play on the ball, and I just did my best to get one hand underneath and the other hand on this side. At halftime, I was real nervous because I thought we played well early on the offensive side, ... Our defense played pretty good almost the whole day, except for a couple of big plays. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

I played well today, struck the ball well. My front side, which was the back nine, I didn't drive the ball as good. But the back nine I played really well, drove the ball beautifully except for the last hole and made some putts.

The effort was really, really good. I thought we looked real good on defense. We talked about getting to the ball and making plays. He's kind of gotten caught up in what we're doing. He knows where our guys are going. He knows how to function within the plays, but the defense is going to tell him where to put the ball. He needs to start looking on the other side of the ball now.
