en He's probably, without a question, one of the top couple of pitchers in our league. We had some chances. We had some guys on, and in the past we've been getting those hits to score the kids but today we didn't.

en I was really pleased with all of the pitchers today; they all threw really well. This was just a good team win, almost all of the kids contributed to the win. If I can get 15 hits a game (in league), I'll be tickled.

en It's tough to win when you don't score. I don't think this was a lack of chances. According to our statistics, we had 18 scoring chances. That's a pretty decent amount. The guys we count on to score had chances. We just didn't finish.

en We have some guys who have scored at the junior and minor league levels, and now is there chance in the NHL. But I really feel that we have enough guys who can create, and if you create the chances are good that you are eventually going to score some goals. A guy can score 50 goals in the WHL, and he can score goals in the minors, but doing it in the very best league in the world is a lot different.

en We had our chances to score more runs but we didn't get the situational hits. We were beat by a better team that also had 11 hits.

en We tried to stay with them. We got to their first couple of pitchers pretty well and had some chances to score more runs. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming.

en I think we've gotten better every game, ... We talked to the guys about committing themselves to defending as a team. We don't know where our goals are going to come from. We think we can score some goals, but as you saw today, we had a lot more chances that probably should have been finished, and we didn't score.

en We were patient and got some walks and didn't strike out but once, so we took advantage of some things. Today we got some extra outs and were able to score guys that got on base other ways than with hits. We hit balls hard, but again we didn't have a lot to show for it.

en I played really well again today. I made my score on the front nine today, Thursday I made it on the back nine. It was nice to get that eagle on No. 9. And then I had a lot of chances there coming in 16, 17 I missed a couple of chances for birdie. But I'm very happy with the round.

en He took a couple of hits both on the face and in the head, I thought it was best for us not to take any chances if we didn't have to. He's going to get enough punishment, hits and bruises on our next game (facing Shaquille O'Neal ). He's a pretty resilient guy, but still, you don't want to see that.

en Our kids battled. It was good to see a couple of guys come through with some hits that haven't (before). Maybe it will help us down the road. That's been the story of our season, we give up too many unearned runs. If we play defense, routine stuff behind our pitchers, then we probably win a few more ball games. You can't win in our region when you give teams extra outs.

en We scored one run on a homer, but it was nice to see some other things go well. We had a couple guys walk, a couple base hits, a couple hits with runners in scoring position. Those are the little things you have to do to win. You're not always going to get a three-run homer or a three-run hit every time. You have to do the small things, and that's what we did today.
