Otherwise, there are landowners in this county who would plow to their house all year long. And they have the resources to do that.

There's been some that have torn things up and up and left. Every industry has those poor type of performers. We producers that are actively in White County all the time try our best to protect the roads. I do a lot of timber work for a lot of landowners and have for a long time, and I don't want to see us leave White County because we can't work, especially for landowners that have planted trees as a future for their kids.

Every year, there are people who drive into the back of our plows. Motorists who tailgate a plow can find themselves lost in a snow cloud. They can't see the road or the plow in front of them in time to stop.

On the other hand, landowners need to be realistic when it comes to
their expectations of what resources and how long it takes to reach their
objectives, whether it's a crop of trees or an aesthetic view, ... Unreasonable expectation by the landowner can also result in
expensive lessons.

It's a matter of prioritizing resources. We just believe that those resources this year and next year are better directed toward re-electing our House and Senate majorities and re-electing our congressmen.

The trails exist really at the discretion of the landowners. If it wasn't for the landowners, we wouldn't have the trail system we have.

Our goal is to find out how many landowners are interested. They should give us a call. We're looking for willing landowners.
