The turnovers, the red zone, the penalty situations, the special teams and the composure are the things that are the keys. What kind of controls those keys is the line of scrimmage. (Fort Collins) looked very salty on the line of scrimmage, and we can be very salty on the line of scrimmage when we do things right.

We lay our hat that we can run the ball. In the first half, we won the line of scrimmage. I think they were really aggressive. I think both Anthony Davis and Dan Buenning were very aggressive on the left side. I don't know if you realized but the majority of the time when we were running the ball it was to the left side of the field behind those guys. I think they did a great job of establishing the line of scrimmage. And they did a better job in pass protection than I think any of us thought they would, so that was very encouraging.

They played well, but all three lines did. We cut down our mistakes line after line. Tonight was the result of good teamwork. Last night it was Phillips' line. It doesn't matter what line scores the goals. When you play like that, it's going to be different players every night.

There's a reason we have over a hundred points. It's not because of our first two lines. There are a lot of good teams out there who have two lines, but our third and fourth line, if you want to call them that, are playing unbelievable. That's the key to winning in the playoffs.

I've coached several great lines at Nevada Union and Placer. If this group reaches it's potential it could be one of the best lines I've coached. I haven't had a line like this with size, strength mixed with athletic ability. Usually any line has a weak link. This line doesn't.

Our front-four [offensive line] players did a good job. We had some nice drives. We controlled the ball. We did an outstanding job on defense. We controlled the line of scrimmage.

He's creating, there's no question, but he's getting good looks, ... He hasn't been hit and stymied initially very often. We've been able to get him started, and getting him through the line of scrimmage is an outstanding thing for him because he's an exceptional runner. He deserves a tremendous amount of credit, but our offensive line has given him, I think, some consistent looks at the hole.
