Coming into Alabama that's ordtak

en Coming into Alabama, that's what you dream of. Your last game, in the Cotton Bowl, you got two minutes to go score.

en I told them to get Cody up at 4 a.m. for the Cotton Bowl so he'd think it was afternoon by the time the game started.

en It's not just a bowl that your players have heard about for a long, long time, but their parents and their grandparents have. There isn't anyplace in America that's insulated from the Cotton Bowl and its tradition.

en I wanted to come, because it's always been a big thing here in Alabama. Getting invited, you just represent Alabama. Being younger, watching the game, you're always looking for the guys with the Alabama helmet on. It's special.

en The hype of a bowl is something you look forward to. It's Christmas time. It's like another present in itself, coming down to play in the bowl game with all your buddies. You're on the road again. And you've got a lot of perks. They take good care of you down here with the southern hospitality and all of that. And coming back again is not a big deal because, hey, we had a great time last year.

en I think we still need to improve our organization and our ability to read what we need to be doing earlier in order to score. Before today, a majority of our goals have been coming in the second half and we need to take control of the game earlier and carry that momentum throughout the game for a full 90 minutes.

en We were more skillful the last 30 minutes of the game than we were the first 10. Unfortunately all 40 minutes count. I don't think the score is really indicative of the spread. They kind of dominated the game.

en Coming off a Villanova game where he played 13 minutes and didn't score a point, I started him the next game to tell him we've got to get him back. For us to win, we've got to get him back. ... Thank God we got them back.

en That's all we heard since the Auburn game. Everybody wanted to forget about our nine wins to start the season. I don't care what people say about me, but the fact we're going out with the Cotton Bowl championship and a 10-2 record, that shows we've got this program headed in the right direction. That's a great way to go.

en But they had already lost the Southwest Conference Championship to Texas A&M, so A&M was going to the Cotton Bowl that year, but UT had done so well, they were expected. Everyone expected the Rose Bowl to invite Texas to play.

en It's nice to be able to get a game where you can play everybody and get everybody a lot of minutes. I think we had everybody but one score.
