en I'm going to go fishing once all this is over. I promise, I'm not touching a golf club for a while.

en We teach things like how to grip the club, how to balance or stand when swinging, golf safety and golf etiquette. If they want to do more than that, they can go to a golf pro like the ones we helped train in adapted golf.

en Not only can we not golf, we can't even go out on the golf club's property. We're not allowed in the grill or the pro shop. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. We've been totally kicked out of everything to do with the golf course. They're trying to divide us from the other members.

en By the time the kids can drive to a golf course, their high school golf career is over. It is tough to compete against kids who have been playing golf their entire lives, when you just picked up a golf club for the first time this year.

en I'm not going to say anything nasty about golf. I have a standing offer - and I've told this to Bill and Mike - that if they ever do a charity golf thing again, I will get knickers and a tweed cap and, never having touched a golf club in my life, I will take mushrooms and do a full eighteen holes. As long as is televised.

en I promise you it is very simple to bring the golf ball back 10% and still keep its characteristics. The players don't have to change their drivers, they don't have to change their irons. If the golf ball goes shorter, you don't have to come out every year and have this conversation about what had to be done at Augusta to combat the golf ball.

en I tried to tell them they should pick someone else. I know nothing about golf. I've never even hit a golf ball with a golf club.

en If the golf ball and (club) technology had never changed, it all would've stayed the same (here). I don't think any of the golf-course changes would've been necessary.

en The club may have to assess the golf club members. Or they may have to borrow the money. It's not something you can't do. You got to do it.

en This is for people that eat, sleep and live golf. From the moment they set foot on the property to the first tee to the time after they're done, we built everything to cater to the golf club atmosphere. It's kind of a less-is-more mentality.

en It means a lot to receive the highest honor in the golf business, especially our section, ... I want to thank the members of the Emerald Bay community for the opportunity to serve the PGA. It is a commitment from the Country Club. They allow me to take time away from the club and I appreciate them.

Our players are as committed to giving back to charitable causes when away from the golf course as they are to their performances on the course. The Special Olympics Golf NIT is such an incredible event, and I am sure that our four teaching and club Professional members, as well as honorary chairperson Beth Bader, will find it a rewarding and inspiring experience.
