Barry has been good for the game. However you create interest in our game and bring fans to the ballpark, that's a good thing.

It's good to get out of there, ... You pitch a good game and they come over and they ask, 'Hey, did you guys miss Barry today?' I mean, life goes on without that guy coming out to the ballpark. Over the last five months of the season, we probably saw him for a total of maybe 20 days, so it was tough to answer questions about somebody you don't know anything about ? unless you go onto his Web site. I've never been on it, and don't plan to. I wish him well and I hope he gets better, but I have no need to get on there.

[Jones is] the best tackle in the game, hands down. A lot of offensive tackles are good at one thing, like pass protection. But what makes him better than anyone else is you've got to bring your 'A' game against his run-blocking, too. He has no weaknesses. You've got to bring it every snap against him.

The crazy thing is I am probably driving right now better than I ever drove in my life, ... I guess I don't need to be retiring, but hey, I've made the decision to do that. Still the thing I want to do is go out on top of my game, and I think we're doing a good job out there for these fans. (Sunday), I didn't see a lot of life ? both teams. It was a dull type of game. We need some life. Barry will bring some expectations. When he comes to the plate, he will bring life to the fans and the team. I know I'm going to take the front seat (today).

Jason King has no gimmicks in his game. He's a real heady player and he's a good thinker. Jason is a mature guy, and he thinks the game well. He's got very good talent, really good hands and a knack to score. I was joking that I don't get called into the power-play meeting anymore, which is a good thing. I'm not complaining, I'm happy about us having depth like that. That's a good thing.

I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.

His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. Why not? I believe a woman umpire would bring some good ingredients to the game and added interest.

Not often do you lose a game when you shot over 70 percent in a half. It is tough to lose a game when you shoot that. I thought our offense was good and we made good decisions and (had) good looks. Its amazing how one little thing can change the outcome of the game.

I think fantasy is a good thing, it creates interest. I don't think about it much. It's not like I go out and try to perform for a fantasy team, but I think they are good to create interest and not just in baseball.

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

You can't think about a small ballpark. You have to keep the ball down. That's what you must do in the game. Everybody said the ball flew out in Cincinnati, but it's a good field. It doesn't matter if it's a small ballpark, big ballpark. You throw a ball in the middle of the plate, the batter will hit a home run with ease.
