He was off tonight. You don't like for your pitcher to be off that much. . . . But at the same time, you've got to settle down and make some pitches.

That adds up. (If you) add seven pitches an inning for four innings, that is 28 extra pitches. Through four innings (Walker) was at 73 pitches.

We're swinging at quality pitches. We're swinging at our pitches instead of the pitcher's pitches. If the pitcher is throwing the ball where he wants to, he's going to be tough to beat.

It's not just that we're making them throw pitches. We're not swinging at pitches we can't handle. She's not going to blow you away as a pitcher. She's more of a finesse pitcher. But she's a smart pitcher and she's not going to lose. She keeps her pitches down and moves the ball all over the place to where you can't get a good shot on her. She's fun to watch out there.

She (Hutchins) kept us off balance. We didn't hit the good pitches when she threw them. Then, after that, were behind in the count, chasing. That's what every pitcher wants. Tonight, we gave her that luxury.
