en It's always big when the back end of your rotation throws the way Pedro did. He was throwing well before he went down [with a strained right quad muscle]. We really missed him. It looks like he picked up where he left off.

en Washington picked up their defensive intensity in the fourth quarter. They forced us into some turnovers and we missed a few free throws and that helped them get back into the game.

en A lot of times, it seems like he's guarding his man and two others at the same time. If somebody missed a rotation, he covers their rotation and still gets back to his guy.

en We asked him to do a lot, and he did a lot, ... He made some great throws, some unbelievable, big-time throws that most guys couldn't make while getting hit. You take away two interceptions, and he probably would have been player of the week. The last one was just forced in there because of the situation, and the (Memphis defensive back) made a good break on the ball. en It's not a huge tear. That's what a strained muscle is, basically - a muscle tear. It's not a large area that's disrupted.

en We cut their lead to three points with three minutes left, but we missed too many free throws. We missed the front end of a 1-and-1 twice, and that would've made a lot of difference.

en He's throwing cutters. He's throwing into left-handers, throwing changeups to left-handers, and it used to be just sinkers and changeups away for effect and go back out there. He's pitching in a lot more and he's manipulating the baseball off his fastball.

en I was throwing off my back leg sometimes, or I'm trying to run while I'm throwing. Just really a lot of situations where there weren't a lot of high-percentage throws.

en That was huge. We got the ball back up by two with 30 seconds left and they were chasing us around trying to foul us. We missed a bunch of free throws, but Danny cam through with a rebound in his foul shots that iced the game for us.

en Then, he pulled a quad muscle. We'd like him to be playing now in September, but his shoulder is bothering him.

en I have a strained muscle in my calf which causes shin splints. It hurt just a little bit. I just had to blow it off and do my other vault. That's all I could really do.
