en It's a tough loss. I thought Adam (Eaton) threw the ball well. We just couldn't quite cash in on a couple of opportunities there.

en I thought Jerome threw the ball well; he threw the ball excellent. He really should've only given up one run, on the triple. He gave us what we needed. Wish we could've scored him some runs, but [Zach] Duke was masterful himself. We had some opportunities.

en I expect to see the same guy I did last year. I hope they'll limit him to 30 or 40 games. That first at-bat off Adam Eaton last year was very impressive. The guy hadn't played all year and Eaton was throwing 93-94 and he doubled off the wall. That bat speed is always there.

en It's tough after any loss. That was a loss at home, it was to the No. 2 team in the country and it was a loss when we had opportunities to win. And on top of that, it was a loss to Duke. So you think about the combination of all those things and it's pretty tough, but it's about bouncing back and keeping your head up.

en I would say he threw pretty good. He's probably a little bit rusty, but still threw pretty good. The first couple innings he was sharp. With the exception of a couple home runs, I thought he threw the ball pretty good. It was basically his first outing of the spring.

en This is a great honor for Adam and for our program. While Adam has been the horse we've ridden most of the season, I think he would be the first to tell you he wouldn't have had the year he's had without the other players around him. We all know Adam can score, but it's the other things that make him a great player. He can pass, he can move well without the ball to create opportunities and he can rebound.

en We still had some opportunities, but I thought that there were a couple times when we cut it close and we had some good looks at it, but the ball just didn't roll in. We got close to the mountain, but we couldn't get on top of it.

en This is a tough loss because the kids wanted it so bad. We actually had them on the ropes a couple times in the first half but couldn't keep the turnovers down. It's a fine line ? you don't want them tentative and you don't want them throwing the ball away. I'm still real proud of how we played, a lot of desire and heart. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. This is a tough loss because the kids wanted it so bad. en It was good to get a win because we blew a couple of opportunities to score runs. Early in the game, we threw the ball around a little bit on a few plays. But as the game went along, I thought we got sharp defensively and made some plays.

en We got it right down to six and we couldn't get over that hump. We had a couple of opportunities to get it closer, but we just couldn't get the ball to drop.

en We certainly had some opportunities to win. We hit a couple of posts late in the game. It was a tough loss.

en He got in and out of the groove a couple times, but I thought he threw the ball well. I thought he made some good pitches. He got out of sync on a couple pitches, but I was very pleased.

en I'm not a very lucky pitcher. I thought I threw the ball well today and came out with a loss.

en Del Norte will do whatever it takes to win. They're a very physical and tough team but we had our opportunities and just couldn't cash in. We've played in a lot of close games this year and we've won the majority of them, but this time we didn't.

en These pitchers have just thrown outstanding, ... It's great to see Adam on top of his game. That's the Adam Eaton we know. What a great job he did. All of them, down the stretch here, they just found their game. It's going to be important in this series. We know we need to pitch well.
