en In a world where teens are given so much negative attention, it is great to see a young man consistently take the initiative to give back to the community. Brandon is a phenomenal young man. I know this project meant a lot to him because of the way he put all of himself into giving something back to the troops who have given us all so much.

en I never thought that I'd be in a position to give back to the Nashville community. I feel good giving back to the kids because at the end of the day they are the future, and without them, Young Buck wouldn't be who he is. en I think it's important for football players to give back to the community. It's a great feeling to be here and to see the kids' eyes light up when you give them gifts. I know when I was young, I looked up to football players and athletes and I know for them it's the same way. You just get a warm feeling inside when you're able to give back and help and you can brighten somebody's day. It's definitely a positive.

en The oral history project is meant to give as complete a picture as possible of what it meant to be us in this area. I've also made it a point to get people who are just part of our community. Being part of the community is just as important as being a leader.

en The world is burdened with young fogies. Old men with ossified minds are easily dealt with. But men who look young, act young and everlastingly harp on the fact that they are young, but who nevertheless think and act with a degree of caution that would be excessive in their grandfathers, are the curse of the world. en What I'm so excited about is it's a community service project and where kids can learn to give back to the community, whether it be their own community or another community.

en This is just our small way of giving back to the community. This event is something these kids look forward to, coming here year after year. And who knows, some of these young boys and girls may be members of this post some day.
