The gay and lesbian community was among the first to realize the benefits of living along the Peachtree Corridor. That market is now red hot and appeals to a broad spectrum of buyers.

en It could be precedent setting. It will have a major effect on the community. What I'm concerned about is the impact on the town's resources.

en It was a wonderful, vibrant place, and its loss was a big blow to the community. It was very much an anchor in the community. We see our school as a real symbol of its rebirth.

We may have an opinion on which directions the technology ought to go and we will voice that in the community, but it's a wide diverse body and we're just one of the voices in it.

en Our vision for this site is to do a high-quality, pedestrian-friendly, main street traditional and lifestyle center. It will be more of a destination. Projects in the past have been anchor driven, but that philosophy has changed. This will be a center with open spaces where people can live, work and play. Our experience is your anchor. We are not just going out for that anchor store.

en During his tenure, the town of West Hartford in his role of town manager was always seen as a progressive community and a model for others to follow as a town manager can effectively work.

en Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.
