If Billy is willing to offer it and Rickey is ready to retire, I'd be happy to negotiate a one-day contract. But I don't know what Rickey's sentiments are on the topic. The last time I talked to Rickey, he said he'd like to be the leadoff hitter and starting outfielder for some team in the major leagues. I don't know if he's had a change of heart.

We have such a versatile lineup. We've got speed and power and that produces good at-bats. Everybody in the lineup sees better pitches. Up and down the lineup, we help each other out.

The bottom of our lineup has done such a great job to provide opportunities, getting on base. The one inning when Nunie had a great at-bat, goes 3-2, draws the walk, and then Carp goes up there and gets another walk, that's with two outs there. And that gives me the opportunity to do something. That's a lot of fun.

Our seniors at the top of the lineup do a great job of leading us. All the girls look to them to get us going, as well as looking to Brittney as both a pitcher and a hitter.

The leadership they bring is so important. Michelle is a good hitter, and she has a little bit of power. Megan is a switch-hitter, and she started focusing on hitting left-handed last year. She can bunt, slap and hit for power. She has speed, and that's why she's on the left side.

Hopefully, I want to be a guy who's a good hitter who will have power. I don't want necessarily to be a power hitter. I want to be a good hitter first. ... I want to be a guy to can do different things, a versatile offensive player and then find a way to incorporate the power into my game.

He's their best athlete, number one pitcher and a good hitter too at the three hole in the lineup. We're going to have to manufacture some runs against them.
