en It was a good call and they executed it. It was a ball up out over the plate and he was able to get the bat on it.

en I think my biggest strength is my ability to block the ball and keep everything in front of me. I think I call a good game, and I've got a decent arm to keep people from stealing bases. I'm also pretty good at blocking the plate and getting outs. I actually like it when I'm part of a collision at the plate. It's fun to hold onto the ball and get that out.

en Struble has a good breaking ball and good change-up. You can call it anytime and he is always around the plate with his three pitches.

en Brian Knight hustled over to third base where he's supposed to be but he doesn't have the tag-up call. That's the plate umpire's call. I had it lined up. The wrong umpire made the initial call. The plate umpire, which is me, it's my call and I had him leaving early.

en One thing that was different about tonight is that we executed down the stretch. We did not turn the ball over like we have done in the previous games. We took care of the ball and we executed on offense. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. We rebounded the ball at the end of the game also.

en (Clemens) is tough enough to hit when it's over the plate and if he starts getting a big plate, that's going to be tough for us. I know in our ballpark, both Tim (McClelland) and Greg (Gibson), and I think Wally will, too, will call a good game and not get excited about the home crowd. You always worry when a guy has good command that he can get somebody excited.

en We executed really well today and we didn't do that this weekend. That's the good thing about baseball, every time you come out you've got a new plate on your hands.

en It was an aggressive play. We both went for the ball. Unfortunately, the call went that way. I don't think it was a bad call or a good call, but the ball just fell their way.

en We hit the ball out of the ballpark. We made good pitches, Rogers' ball was moving good, he stayed out of the middle of the plate real good.

en He just left the ball over the plate. I was just trying to get the ball up in the air for a sac fly. But he left it over the plate and I got a good piece of the barrel on it.
