This is my fourth one, but I feel like this is the first one where I really sat and watched.

en We honestly weren't that worried about him, but there was just some stuff we couldn't stop against him. We had a couple of breakdowns on some other people, but he's a great player and they're a good team.

en It was really hard to retire from this because I couldn't move and I was (down) 7-6, 3-2 or set and break. It's pretty disappointing. Imagine if I could move what could have happened. I had some easy balls. I just couldn't get my feet under it. If I cannot move it's very frustrating.

en He gave me a lot of confidence. I remember after the sixth game, Whitey Ford beat us and I said to Pee Wee Reese, 'Don't worry. I'll shut them out.' I was just kidding. But I didn't feel there was any pressure on me. If I beat them, great. If not, I wasn't supposed to, anyway. They were the Yankees. I slept good the night before. The Yankees probably figured I couldn't do it again and the Dodgers had never beaten them, so they weren't worried. Neither was I. There was no pressure on me.

en The move didn't happen until Wednesday and this was only my third game in 12 months, so I didn't expect to be thrown in like that but I couldn't have wished for a better start.
