Over the past few weeks, crude prices and gas futures have dropped and increased and dropped. Until crude oil prices start to drop significantly -- and it's hard to figure out when that's going to happen -- I don't think we're going to see gas prices dropping.

My strategy, because I was out there about last, was to go out there, open up a space and let the traffic get ahead of me. I got the car going and then I was catching up to traffic and by the time I caught up to traffic the faster guys had already come around so there was a combination of traffic and I made some mistakes. The bottom line is they were not in tune with what their customers wanted and what the world was demanding of them and I think it hurt them significantly. I don't want to wake up and see all the traffic moving onto new platforms.

I think voters have sent a strong message this past election that they want someone who will go down and work on issues that are priorities for the citizens in the district. Like traffic congestion and finding solutions to the traffic problems, as well as education and development. As state senator, those are the priorities that I will work on.

Certainly, one thing that has to be considered is that while this place is a great area to live, the cost of living is significantly higher than the state average. And traffic is clearly becoming an issue as well.
