I think we are fortunate this is the next race considering our position. I don't think we can fall much further back, so I think it's going to be fun race in California.

Calling two tires there under green, that was a pretty bold move, ... I'm just happy to see out sport is so equal, to see the 12 and the 20 race for position, and me and the 17, after 300 laps, to race for position like that is pretty incredible.

Although we approach every race with the goal of completing every lap, these final events are even more important to us knowing that each lap will help demonstrate our support for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. All of those questions are ones that are directed at you because you have something you're shooting for. For us to be in a position where any of those arguments even matter, we have a lot of games to win. It's not an issue right now. If we get down to the very end and we're fortunate enough to be in position, then we'll deal with it. Right now, it's not something we talk about.

Kelly brings to the position a blend of excellent experience and charismatic leadership. We are fortunate to have a person of his stature take on this important position.

If it would've been any other time in the race he would have gone right by me, but right there you've got to race all you can for that position. And the way the leaders were going at it, I thought it maybe could've been for the win, so ... I just told him I was waiting for him to turn me.

It wasn't a bad race and one that will help him, it being his first out of the season. We were stalking early and it looked like we were ready to pounce. I liked our position. He needed the race and will improve.

I did my best and have no regrets about my race. It was a fast-paced race and I had a hard time finding the right position. I wanted to go farther in this event.

His car was similar to mine when he won Atlanta versus me finishing third, and it was just who was in front. It was merely track position at the end of the race, so he's got the ability to drive the race cars.

I've been in this position several times in my career, ... You really can't afford to approach the last race any differently. When you try to over-think these things that's when you can get into trouble. I'm coming into Reno with the same attitude I do at every race. I want to win and that's what I'm going to try to do. We have two rounds at Reno and the second round is worth double points. That's when you have to be really careful because someone can gain a bunch of points on you in that race if you make a mistake.

This was the easiest race I've ever won. Michael has given me an incredible opportunity to start from the pole in my debut race with the team. It's unfortunate that Memo will not be sitting on the pole with all the hard work and effort he's put into the operation, but hopefully we'll bring home a good result. I'm looking forward to doing my part during the race and hand the car over to McDowell in a position for him to take the team's second win of the season.

I'm somewhat excited for the rest of the week. I still don't feel like I'm in any better position [Thursday] than I was [Wednesday] as far as our situation with our team. At least for the race, the drivers can actually drive and decide who wins the race by who out-drives whom. Finally.

This is a big event for us. It's such a difficult thing to win this race, you have to have everything go right for you for twenty-four hours straight. I think the fact that there are so many superstars from all over the sport here to try and win it shows just how much people want to take this win, and hopefully we can get through the night without any issues and be in a position to race to the finish.

We're fortunate to have two horses in the race and we hope they live up to their billing.
