en You know there's only four guys I'd trade with right now in the garage, points-position wise. So, I think we're doing OK. We'll make something happen here.

en It's good to know that we just need to get in field position. We don't have to force anything to make anything happen. We can always depend on him for points.

en At the end of the race, you are very aware of the position of the guys you are battling with in the points. You know that passing one more car may cut the points a driver gains on you, or even add a few more points separation to those behind you.

en I know Nick Barnett is the most productive player right now. In the future, I'm going to anticipate these guys probably will want to upgrade that position. I hope they will address it and really get some guys in here who can make things happen.

en We have a plan. Some of it can be the game plan, some of it can be the opponent, where other guys are at the position health-wise. Sunday morning we should be pretty close. I want to make sure the guys who should be OK and ready to go are OK and ready to go.

en Honestly I would prefer that not to happen. I would much rather have three or four guys averaging in double figures than to have one or two putting up big points. It just makes it that much harder for teams to defend you when you've get three or four guys that are capable of scoring points.

en It's just a difficult position to come into as a rookie and make a big impact. I don't think people outside the game appreciate the difficulty involved. I mean, you can talk about the speed of the game, and how different it is, but there are a lot of other things that contribute to the problems players have at the position. It's a very steep learning curve, and it takes some guys a year or two to overcome it. It's a very short list of guys who come in and make an immediate difference at the position.

en You know. If a guy has a page of 12 cards, you know [he's selling them]. A lot of guys, you get to know them. They like to trade with their buddies on the East Coast. A lot of guys just like to trade them, and it's their hobby. I've always tried to sign. You just respect the guys. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. If that's what they enjoy -- even if they're going to sell them -- it's something they enjoy and they're going to make the trip to the ballpark to do it, you've got to sign.

en Racing wasn't always what it is today. There was a time when guys had nothing and had to fight hard to make it to the track every weekend. Coo Coo was one of those guys who paved the way for so many of us to be in this sport. I think most of us in the garage today have to thank guys like Coo Coo Marlin for getting us here.

en It's always a hard when you are in the lead and something goes wrong like we had happen in Daytona. But we know we have a fast car and a great team behind us, so hopefully we can score some points with a really good finish here this weekend. It is a long season ahead of us and we know we have a lot of racing to do, but we'd like to get back into the battle points-wise starting with this weekend.

en I know I would trade all the accolades, all the points, to be in the position that Elon is in right now. Every day you go out and work your hardest and do your best and you're real close. You just don't get there.

en I didn't think we had a chance to [make the Chase], but we've run much better and the guys that have been around us in points have had some trouble and maybe haven't run as well the second half of the year and had some things happen to them, too. We're not in it yet; we still have another week to go.

en We've got to compete money-wise and stock-wise to get people to drive 12 hours (from Houston) to compete. And we need to sell tickets to make that happen.

en So we have no problem with imports. Our position is what it's always been, we're in favor of free trade as long as it's fair trade, whether it involves our NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) colleagues or any others around the world. So we're committed to maintaining full trade law enforcement.

en Everything is over. Everything is straight. What I think right now is to think forward and [see] what you can do better this year to be in a better position. [The trade request], that's never going to happen again. I'm happy here.
