Mentally, as a team you've got to stay focused. We've all had the same goal of the playoffs, trying to have a successful season and just seeing if we can improve individually and as a team.

I've been with a lot of teams, some successful and some not as successful in their records and by and large, this team competed all year. We grew in ways I hope will be helpful in 2006. We have a lot of work to do in the off-season, but we have a good beginning.

I know right now Courtney is frustrated. I will say flat out I thought Courtney was the better player. Courtney needs to work on better shot selection. Next year at this time when Courtney plays that chick it will be 6-0, 6-0.

Clausen and Swanson are both examples of how much hard work pays off. Individual success stems from team success and they've been part of some very successful teams at Denison.

Our guards work really hard to get me and Courtney the ball, and once they do, me and Courtney play really well with each other. We look for each other, and that's the biggest thing.

I really believe that this is a great fit, because it's the same kind of team I had in college, ... I really think this team has some great things ahead of them. I don't understand it. We played two tremendous games Thursday and Saturday. The success of this team is pretty simple. We're not a great goal-scoring machine, so if we think that we're going to play that way we're never going to be successful. I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.

This has been a very resilient basketball team and a very focused basketball team. This is a basketball team that has really flinched. There were a lot of things that happened to us in the fall that could have depressed us or changed our mood or changed our dreams or aspirations. But that really hasn't occurred. Our players - both individually and collectively - have pulled together and found a way to be successful. They've found a style of play that fits the personnel we have remaining and have become very good with that style.

We have spread ourselves over a variety of races and this has proven a success. To be the best team has been one of our goals for a long time now, even though the new points system took some getting used to. Regardless of how you look at it though, we are this season's most successful team.
