en We want to go out and play our style. Defense is going to be the huge thing. Our strength is our speed, we're just going to have to use it.

en You?re going to have that when you go to that (style of defense). We wanted to cause them to speed up. You?re going to foul sometime in that situation.

en It's a great defense. It's really been the strength of that team. They won the Super Bowl with a great defense. They're still playing a very aggressive style.

en Getting the game in an up-tempo style of play with pressure defense is the way we want to play. We extended our defense and caused opportunities for ourselves.

en It was huge. The big thing with Corey out there is that he can play great defense. Today, I don't think he was happy with what happened at the plate. We talked right before we went out there [for the ninth] and said, 'Man, you can make the play that makes the difference in the game in center field,' and he did.

en We knew that they were a team that played a tough physical style. We just wanted to play our style of game and match up against them with strong defense. I think we did a good job.

en The strength of our defense will come from a veteran group of returnees, ... We have a lot of experience in Kara, Kristen, Carolyn, Christina and Rachel and I will look for them to lead this team. The freshman class will add to the defense with their speed and athleticism, thus giving us a very strong back line.
