I know this is a tough loss for them (seniors), but they have done a lot for the school. They set a team-record for wins and they have nothing to hang their head about.

Our seniors have been an absolute joy to coach. They have been the foundation for this program, taking us to a school-record in wins. They have accomplished something that no other Lady Bombers team has in the history of this team. They have a lot to be proud of.

It's tough after any loss. That was a loss at home, it was to the No. 2 team in the country and it was a loss when we had opportunities to win. And on top of that, it was a loss to Duke. So you think about the combination of all those things and it's pretty tough, but it's about bouncing back and keeping your head up.

We wanted to send our seniors out with something to remember. If we win two times tonight, we would've broken the school record for wins, but it didn't happen.

The season ended up tied. We both have one meet loss to each other, so the first tie-breaker is head to head matches, they won 3-2 and we won 3-2 in the second round, so it came down to individual match wins throughout the season and I think they got one or two more wins than us.

We're not happy with the loss, but this is not a time to put your head down and pout. We have accomplished some pretty good things this year. We've still got a big part of our goals and our season left, and that starts next weekend. We can't hang our heads about this one. We've just got to be ready to play next weekend and keep trying to get wins.

When you look at everything in the scheme of things, 20 wins is nice because we have a very youthful team. It's always tough to see your season end, but we don't have anything to hang our heads about.

There's something special about playing in the Fiesta Bowl, no doubt about it. The seniors have done so much here (becoming the first group to win four bowl games and tying a school-record with 43 wins as a class), I wanted to make sure we sent them out as champions. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work.

Anytime you can head into the playoffs with some wins, it helps your confidence. Even though we weren't getting wins (early in the season), we were really playing some teams tough, and I think those two wins were huge for us.

You're last game is always tough because it's tough on the seniors. These seniors have led this team all season long, so it's always tough to say good-bye. That's a special group.

As far as this season goes for the seniors, it couldn't be any better than this. If we win these two games, we break the record for consecutive wins. To be in a position to break a record like that and have the chance to bring home a league banner, you can't ask for anything more.

As seniors we wanted to step up big and come through for the team. But it's the whole team, not just the seniors. We focus on handing it to each other, person to person, until the team wins. That comes from good leadership.

For our seniors, it was a combination of joy and relief. They realized this was their last chance to get a district title. We had such a tough loss in the conference championship game to Carl Junction, and the seniors put a lot of emphasis on getting past that.

We've got six seniors playing a lot, so they should get the boards, they should take over in crucial times like that. University made a great run and they've got nothing to hang their head about.

It was a six-point game in the second quarter and they had that run. If we hang in there, get a couple of stops, you never know. It's a real tribute to our guys, though. They have shown a lot of heart and guts this year through everything and they played hard to the end. Unfortunately it's a loss, but it was a great way for our seniors to finish. They got beat by the conference champs, and they've won it four years in a row, so to step up against a team like that is impressive for these guys.
