en It was a war out there. There were two very physical teams just going at it and really putting everything out on the line. It's a shame we didn't come out on top, but we have nothing to hang our heads for.

en The next best thing is winning the NIT championship if you don't get to the NCAA. There's only two teams that win their last game ? and we're one of them for the last two years and that says a lot. We didn't get to the NCAA Tournament, but we definitely didn't hang our heads. We had some veterans, some leaders ... to tell these guys, 'Man, we're here to win it.' And we did.

en We're trying to hang in. We probably could have done a lot more things over the course of 48 minutes to put ourselves in a stronger position, but we didn't. We don't have much time to hang our heads about this. We've got another one tomorrow.

en They just came out on fire. In the first half of the season we would kind of hang our head when we got down, but tonight we didn't hang our heads. We kept fighting. We kept our composure.

en They're pretty base in what they do. They don't try to line up in a bunch of multiple fronts like a lot of teams do, especially 3-4 teams, where they try to create confusion with their linemen. They've got great run-support safeties who come up and make plays. Their linebackers and defensive line are physical. These guys line up and play football.

en We have nothing to hang our heads about. There are a lot of teams that would have liked to be where we were tonight.

en This is entirely too young, and the city of New York should really hang their heads in shame. This is big government at its worst - this is government telling mothers and fathers that they know better than parents do.

en The whole NIT we're playing great defense, that's what we're trying to stress. We talked about, we can't hang our heads because we had injuries, we can't hang our heads because we're young. If you can head to the NIT Final Four, it means you're playing good basketball.

en We were under 10 late in the third quarter and down just 10 after three. Then came that spread. We just didn't match up. It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. When we did get shots, they didn't drop and then we got down a little and began to hang our heads.

en Something like this we'll probably never experience again. We shouldn't hang our heads, we had a great year. Two teams can't win a state title. That's life.

en Things didn't go our way but we didn't hang our heads and we fought harder than we did the last couple of games. But it's frustrating, especially when you're up 2-1 with five minutes to go in the game.

en For us, at times it got too close for comfort down the stretch. The one thing we need to continue to learn how to do is how to put teams away. We had a stretch during the season where we were doing that, consistently putting teams away. But recently we're letting guys hang around. That's something we can't do.

en We responded particularly well tonight. When things didn't go our way, we didn't go into one of our tremendously long droughts and hang our heads and look defeated. We did the reverse. We picked it up on defense and blocked some shots and got out in the open floor.
