It is so thrilling to be able to get back out and perform for the fans again. We put a band together last year to launch the album with radio and television promotion. We are all itching to get on a bus and really travel across the states and see the real America.

They are a great band and even greater people. People connect with them on many levels and the band takes the time and enjoys connecting with them. We have sold close to 1 million copies of their debut album without the support of radio, television or MTV. It has happened because real people care about a real band.

[The 14-track GENERATIONS album--which will include a 10-page booklet with new photos and lyrics--was recorded at the Record Plant in Sausalito, CA, where the band recorded 1986's multi-platinum RAISED ON RADIO. Their first new recording since 2002's RED 13 four-song EP and 2001's full-length ARRIVAL album, it's truly what loyal Journey fans have been waiting for.] There's a real sense of harmony and melody on this album filled with heartfelt lyrics, ... It has the ballads that people would expect from us and the rock & roll that I think has the Journey signature sound to it. There's something for everybody. There's a mix of fun, playful songs along with some solid rock tracks. I don't think it's going to disappoint anyone.

Soccer in America has never been stronger or more popular at the youth and amateur levels. Fox Soccer Channel has long played an integral role in the promotion of grass-roots soccer in the United States and will continue to lead the way with the launch of FC Fox this spring.

It's hard, because I feel like I've got this record that I'm so psyched on and I want so many people to hear and unfortunately with radio and stuff, a lot of times you have to give to get, ... You've got to be able to go out and play a show for the station and do this and that, and I want to, but at this exact second, I can't travel. ... But my hope is that I can start working back into at least somewhat of a schedule where I can be doing promotion.

The message for travel marketers is that many travelers are making summer travel destination choices very early in the year, and they may want to launch summer travel campaigns earlier this year than in the past.

I have to admit that I enjoyed the time off the road devoted solely to the recording process and quality family time. Now that the new album is out and I've performed for television studio audiences, I realize how much I've missed the live show! I'm so excited to reintroduce these ?Timeless' classics to country music fans as well as perform hits from my past albums.

Martina Mcbride (1966-)

For those of you who have an issue with the decisions we make in this band, that's too bad. [Neither] us nor John have any issues and that is all that matters. We shouldn't have to defend ourselves on how this band operates. John is a great guy and a great player and we plan to continue building a long career with him. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested. We are more open to our fans than any band I know. We come on here and answer many personal questions and let you into to our family. Who else does that? Some of you just feel that it isn't enough. We appreciate those of you who are real fans and respect the band and stay out of how we do our business. Find something new to talk about. This is how it is, so deal with it. Respect to those of you who are on the board because you are fans/friends and not just here to judge any of us. We have a new CD coming out this Tuesday [Sept. 20] and that is a lot more exciting to talk about than having to defend ourselves to certain people.

This album has a lot more of the energy we have as a live band, ... The playing is intuitive, natural, easy. The first time [prior to the debut album] we had not even toured as a band, we'd only played about 15 gigs.

Gary is doing fine after his surgery, and we want him to take the time to properly recover so he can return to his first love, which is the band he started 30 years ago. For all the fans who've bought tickets to the upcoming shows and who've been waiting for the new album, hang in there -- we'll be back soon.

This album clearly didn't have that launch pad. This album was launched on the back of word of mouth, music reviews and the quality of the music itself.

We want another year before we record an entire CD. Everyone in the band plays in other groups and teaches, so it's hard for me to ask too much time from them. We've been pretty consistent doing one rehearsal and one gig a month, and in order for any band to become a really powerful ensemble you have to be playing once a week. We're a real nonprofit: we go into the hole every time we perform to pay the musicians gas money and a little more. Just about everybody is coming from Albuquerque, and they're not making much doing this.

Radio is kind of magical. When it works right, there's a real bond with the listener ... [but they] need to remember they're providing radio, not television. For Wall Street, it's going to be great. The name carries a lot of cachet.

[Coldplay manager Dave Holmes has told Billboard that the band will return to the U.S. for another tour in 2006 and may record a new album next year too. Holmes said that following the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April.] They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material, ... So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule. Ultimately it could potentially mean we end up releasing another record [next year] and continuing to tour well into '07.

Dave Holmes (1971-)

We feel that we have to write. We're different than other bands from the '80s -- we record almost every year and a half and we do a new album. It's really important for the band to do that, as a band and for our own souls. We're writing fresh stuff all the time.
