They've got a really good football team. Today we got beat by the strength of an older, more experienced football team. They run through tackles on offense and come at you downhill. On defense, they have a lot of speed on the outside and pressured our young players.

Anytime you have four turnovers its hard to win football games. This is a team game. You do it as a team, offense, defense and special teams. I think we got beat in all areas today.

At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

They've been that way for about the last five years. They've been very consistent. Take a look at what they've done as a team - wins and losses, defense, offense. They're a complete football team. There's a good reason why they went into Indy and beat Indy and really had a chance to dominate the game. A couple calls here and there and they dominate that football game.

There's great speed out there on both sides. I feel good about the speed of our football team, and I see the speed of their football team on the video. Yeah, it's a match-up from that standpoint and I think it will be fun to watch because I like the way both teams play. I think it will be a fast game. I think there's no question about it.

We're going to be a very young football team. We're bringing in over 40 freshmen which I think is a good thing. We have very good football players that are here now and that we'll count on to play. It will be exciting to see how fast they learn and how they jell as a team.

They are another good football team that the record may not show it. Boston College, overtime. Miami, overtime. They beat a good football team in Texas A&M. They beat a good Maryland football team, as we are seeing.

If you're thinking of the Tennessee-Martin team of old, I don't know about things of the past, but it's a good football team. We didn't get beat by them because we took them lightly. We got beat because they are a better football team than us. I wish somebody else would have played them first. I think it's a wake-up call for the league.

It's much like any other team, like a baseball team, a football team, where each year we have guys, older, veterans, all trying out for the same few spots. Each year, every summer they push athletes and drivers are evaluated on their speed and strength, and ability to push a sled. They run through a battery of tests.

Our best defense today was our offense. That's a good football team [Philadelphia], and we're not that much better than them. But we got some momentum today and we rode it.

Edison's overall team speed is fantastic, ... I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.

You saw that with Fresno State, who after us completely went downhill, and that's a really good football team. And that's a perfect example of really giving us their best shot and giving everything they can to beat USC, and then they don't have enough to beat (Louisiana) Tech and Nevada, teams that they should beat by 20, 30 points. That's why what we've done is so special.
