en I have to be honest, as a developer, the last thing you want to hear is that there's a delay in your project to get advice from the dean of a school of architecture. That's usually not a good idea.

While each trend is a study unto itself, the fact that these techniques can now be united into a single architecture is an exciting idea. en It's a great project because of its proximity to school. I hear gunfire at night this project will help the community grow, the school grow.

en I think you really have to evaluate and see how things are going and be honest. That goes back to having people around you that are not going to tell you what you want to hear. Instead they give you true advice.

en There is a little bit of a weather delay but not much. The electrical conduit is continuing to get installed and this will give the electrician time to get a little bit ahead in the project. That is a good thing.

en It's really unusual for a developer to propose a contract, a developer to name the price of the project and for the city to buy it at that price without having anyone else have a crack at it.

en They haven't done it real good, to be honest with you. He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. They haven't done it real good for a few years, obviously. Those are the things we're pressing upon. It's one thing to listen. It's another thing to hear.

en I really recommend the following. Before you're going to hear a piece, any piece, for the first time, don't do anything. Just go an hour early and read the program notes. Then you have some idea about how long it is, the instrumentation, what the idea of it is, the pure general shell. Then, when the piece is played, don't fight with it. Listen to it. And if you find anything that fascinates you, then here's the important thing: Go hear it again, soon.

en It's put a big delay in our Bardsley and O Street traffic signal project. We're probably looking at a two to three-week delay.

en It's exciting. We were discussing this last year in film club, I went immediately to the dean's office and said, 'How can I enter?' I love old films, and old-school techniques. The challenge here is how to get a meaningful idea into such an everyday tool.

en I didn't really know what to expect. Being from the East Coast, the SEC and ACC are all you hear about. You don't get to hear a whole lot about the Pac-10 in Georgia. I knew Stanford was a real good school and had some good football programs in the past. All I wanted to do was visit California. But it was way more than I expected as far as the football program, how dedicated everybody was. The guys were really nice, and there's a lot to do around here. I thought this would be a great place to go to school.

en There was a fine line of what the developer could live with in order to get permanent financing for the project. One of the things you worry about is you don't want to put something on your development that's a competing project with something else on your property. You also don't want to have an overlap of amenities.

en Anytime we can delay anything to do with this project, it's good.
