Lady: I think we passed appropriate a few seconds ago.
Samantha: What kind of cancer do you have?
Lady: Breast.
Samantha: Breast! Me too. I'm curious...Do you have children?
Lady: I'm a nun.
Samantha: You have none.
Lady: No, no, no...I AM a nun. But that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy your Mick Jagger story.
Samantha: I thought that nuns had to wear...
Lady: Oh, I haven't worn a habbit in years.
Samantha: So then...you don't have sex?
Lady: No.
Samantha: Never had sex?
Lady: No.
Samantha: Ohh. [thoughtful silence] Just one more.
Lady: Go right ahead.
Samantha: Are you allowed to masturbate?
Lady: [thinking] I never asked. But thanks for getting my mind off cancer for the first time in a week.
Samantha: Happy to help.


en Samantha: Like it’s my fault! I shouldn't be punished for not having kids. I should be rewarded! Since when did kids become the Get Out of Cancer Free card? He's basically saying that I'm a whore who deserves chemo!!
Carrie: No, I...I don't think that's what he was saying.
Miranda: What I don't understand is.. if they got it all, why do you need chemo?
Samantha: Because he's an asshole.
Carrie: Evidently there could be something microscopic.
Samantha: Like his dick.
Carrie: Excuse me, do you have cancer or Turrets?


en We can do a story that looks like a magazine story -- it's got words, it's got pictures. But attached to that story, it's got sound bites you can download, (and) moving pictures.

en We let him know we were thinking of him and praying for him. The kids wrote very uplifting notes, drew pictures and prayed for his safe return.

en What we are most concerned about is that during the last 90 days since we have been waiting for action from the White House, 267,000 kids have started smoking in this country... Every day we delay, 3,000 kids start smoking, and 1,000 of them are going to die.

en They hear one side of the story and they almost always indict. The next jury will hear the entire story ... We're surprised that anybody got indicted, quite frankly.

en Over the years, I don't know how I did it and didn't hurt anybody. I drove a big rig snorting coke and smoking dope; I drove my kids around smoking dope; I would drive through our neighborhood drunk and stoned with my kids out there playing.

en All of these factors are important in delaying or preventing daily smoking, but parental smoking is the biggest contributor to children initiating smoking. It really is a matter of 'do as I do' not 'do as I say' when it comes to smoking.

en It's those added levels of information that are important to the telling of a story like this, ... Some people learn a lot by reading labels on the wall. Some people just want to stand in awe of a great guitar. Other people want to hear somebody tell a story through headphones. Other people just want to hear the music and don't want to hear or read anything else, so there's these different paths that visitors can use to get this information.

en I'm the only one that drew pictures of each witness and the attorneys.

en Teen smoking is down, and that's because organizations like Just Eliminate Lies ... have done a really good job of getting the word out there to kids that you can die from smoking. The same thing works for drugs and alcohol.

en Pablo Picasso drew pictures, but in a different way - cubism.

en This win is big for the kids. It's big for the community. The kids remember Ryan and Drew. Ryan and Drew helped them out.

en At first, I see pictures of a story in my mind. Then creating the story comes from asking questions of myself. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I guess you might call it the 'what if - what then' approach to writing and illustration.
