Things went pretty much ordtak

Things went pretty much as expected. Our goal this year was to win all three championships - Southern Chester County League, Athletic Association of Catholic Academies and District 1. We had never done it before but, we did it this year.

To sit there after last year's success and make that this year's goal sometimes leads to disappointment. First thing's first - you have to qualify. Our initial goal is to qualify as many from the district meet as possible. It can be a goal, but right now we're not placing it as a goal. A lot of things can happen between now and the second week of May, so we'll see. I do know it's going to be a lot of fun.

Although the Catholic League will be stronger this year, we look to compete for the Catholic League championship like last season.

We are expecting about the same number of participants as last year, ... It is not too late for anyone who is interested in attending to sign up. We have a new twist this year, we will have several players from the old Southern Association on hand to talk about their playing days. It was a suggestion we got from the group last year.

It's been a great class. Their freshmen year was the first year I got hired at Santa Clara and the program has improved every year they've been here. Hopefully they will finish their careers on a high note at the Western Water Polo Association Championships.

It's a pretty good script. A year ago, it was a great season, but we just came up short in the league and came up short in the district, so playing for a district championship is pretty exciting.

My major goal for this year is to have Oakland Catholic win the state again. I think my times are getting a lot better. They're better now than they were at midseason last year. I'm just hoping that as the year goes on, I'll get a little faster.

We have played Lexington Catholic this year, and I think that team is far quicker than Lexington Catholic. I think they are more athletic than Lexington Catholic. I think I learned a lot throughout the year. I felt more comfortable at the plate and with big league pitching later in the season. This year is totally different than last year. I came in last year, my first big league camp, trying to figure things out. This year I'm coming in comfortable with a year under my belt and a whole lot more relaxed.

We haven't played that badly. It's going to take a while for us to get to know each other. The guys are learning so they're working hard. It's not where you are at the beginning of the year. It's where you are at the end of the year. That's how you win championships. Our goal is to be playing the best ball that we can at the end of the year.

He's been a consistent player for us. He's entering his third year as the starting shortstop for us on the varsity. He had an excellent year for us last year. ... He's just a gritty player. He's been a part of two conference and two district championships.

I am disappointed to have to end my season, but my knee has been bothering me for the better part of the year, ... My ultimate goal is to play in the major championships next year and to qualify for the 2006 Ryder Cup, and by having surgery now, I can strive to meet this goal.

We are very optimistic about this season. We have a lot of seniors back and we are very athletic and quick this year. We have a tough schedule and will be tested early on, but we could compete for a district championship and make a run at state. That's our goal.

Our goal is to establish better relations with private and public schools in the state of Nevada, and hopefully recommend that the Clark County School District at least gives us some temporary time to address these problems before they consider withdrawing from our association.

We want to reach our goal to get a banner this year, ... Our school has never won a league or district title in girls basketball. We're working hard to get one.
