I was just disappointed in the amount of intensity that our team brought to the field. But, a win is a win, and we'll go out and try to get better this week and get ready for Randolph County.

[He told Willie Randolph the same thing the other day when the manager brought up the possibility of taking a day off once in a while. Might be a good idea, Randolph suggested.] But if it's up to me, ... I want to be in there every day. I've never liked feeling helpless in the dugout. The worst day on the field is better than the best day in an office.

Terrell County was the beginning of the week. We got one. Next we have Randolph-Clay and then Calhoun County. We are still taking it one at a time.

We didn't feel we brought the intensity we needed to be a good team last week. Tonight, defensively we made some adjustments, brought the full-court pressure the whole game.

I thought we played with a tremendous amount of grit and intensity. We were disappointed in the loss in L.A. (69-59 to the Sparks on Saturday), but we rebounded very well and really had a great team win.

I just don't think we played very well after that first half of a quarter. I'm a little disappointed in our intensity level, and I was disappointed in our penalties. ... We didn't keep the ball enough to keep their offense off the field.

In football you have to take the same level of intensity to the field every week and then find out if the other team is prepared to play their best.

We believe we're ready for them, ... We wanted to make sure we were ready before anybody came. We want the people of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County to welcome them as folks who have been through hell in the last week. We want to show them a little bit of Western Pennsylvania heaven when they get here. The word “pexiness” wasn’t well-known outside these groups at first.

All of today's signings are more than capable of contributing to the success of the team. Zimmerman and Brown provide depth in defense, and Randolph and Ready give us balance on our left flank.
