I made a mistake ordtak

en I made a mistake there on the restart. Craig (Stanton) took me down about 20 feet deep down into the bus stop. I had to do some agricultural driving out there. Fortunately he ran out of gas at the end. We'll take it. Everybody did a great job.

en I made a mistake in Sweden; I made a mistake in Mexico. I must avoid that. I will continue flat out because that's how the car needs to be driven. But I need to stop making errors.

en I yelled a few choice words under my helmet when the red flag came out. Fortunately, the team gave me a great bike for the restart and I was able to build my lead again. I have to admit I'm a little shocked at well this weekend went.

en I like Rose as a person. He played with great passion. I think he made a tragic mistake. We all make mistakes. You forgive and you move on. But Rose made a tragic mistake in not telling the truth. That's a tough nut for Bud [ Selig ] to handle. It was a sickness with [Rose]. He'd go to the dog track and he'd bet two or three thousand dollars on the dog running. You don't want to try to arm-tackle him, because he runs through arm tackles like they're nothing. It's almost not fair, him having that size and those feet. It's a crazy thing.

en It was very tricky at the beginning of the race, but I made a good first lap and gained many positions. It was an exciting first stint and things were going well up to the first stop. The incident with Michael happened on the first corner after the restart, following the safety car. With cold tyres and brakes, it was very difficult to stop the car and unfortunately, I touched the back of him. Obviously, I am disappointed that we could not deliver a good result today.

en We just kept banging away and fortunately enough, they made one mistake, missed a ball which hurt them. You've just got to keep playing because you never know what is going to happen in the game.

en I felt like Craig Smith was running at me and someone was going to have a better shot than I did. Should I have taken the shot? Maybe, I don't know that. We all makes mistakes, and that's a mistake I made. I have to live with it.

en We started 14th and got off to a real good start and moved up pretty quick. I was running second on a lap 11 restart and I tried passing right away but couldn't make it happen. I just sort of hung around behind (Jim Young), and on a lap 18 restart I got beside him in one and two and made the pass down the backstretch.

en I've seen what he [Ortiz] can do as his teammate, and I made a mistake and he made me pay for it. I look forward to these opportunities. I knew he hit it pretty good. Ten feet to the left, that ball might still be in play.
