en I am very happy with the way things are going. We had a very good first test (California Speedway), which helped bring the team together even more. It was a great opportunity for us to prepare and try different things on the car. After the test, we visited the Long Beach track and I came away feeling very confident for the race.

en This test is very important for Honda and today the track was very hot which didn't help the lap times. Again, Nicky had many things to test. His time wasn't the fastest, but I'm not worried about this, it's a three day test and we have more new things to try tomorrow.

en California Speedway has been a pretty good track for this team and for Robert Yates Racing, ... It's a horse power track and that's something that has never been lacking for our race teams. California is one of the tracks where we ran decent this year. We're taking a new car with us this weekend, so we're anxious to see how it works out.

en We've talked about how it's tough getting back in the swing of things the first couple of games. You're not quite up to speed. That stuff takes time. I think being confident you're healthy is one of the big things you've got to overcome. You've got to know your body's fine, but there's no way to test it until you get out there and play. Once you pass that test, things work well.

en We did a race simulation, and it was pretty good. The only other thing we could have done is make the long run at lunchtime, instead of a quarter past four, when the track was colder and the grip level is not so hot. It took two whole days to work through everything we had to test here, but it was OK, and we put together the best bike we could. I think we have really good info from here and we can even improve the bike again before we even start. We've had a good test. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

en Until this moment things went perfectly for me and I hope I can continue in Valencia on this road. In the test I was always fast, we never had any problems and therefore I expect great things from this race, where I won also last year. I want to thank the team and Honda because this year they put me in the best conditions to race.

en I've never even seen Hickory Motor Speedway. We are going to try to get up there and test Thursday, and then participate in the open test on Friday. I am really serious about this race because if I run well, I believe it can be a boost for my career.

en We had a good test plan that allowed us to evaluate a lot of changes that we hope will help us at Long Beach. We've been working very hard on the overall quality of the team and I've been really impressed with the preparation as we head toward Long Beach.

en I've got to get out on the track and test and race and see how it all goes. Obviously it's something I'm interested in, but we'll just see how it goes, see how things progress.

en I think it's a good test for our team. We're in a race, which is great for our guys because there are expectations. I don't think it's pressure. It's just expectations that if you do enough good things you put yourself in position to make the playoffs.

en I'm looking forward to this race. I really like running on the bigger speedway tracks and tend to do well. They are faster and it is easier to plan your moves. I have competed at Pikes Peak twice before when I was running in the Southwest Series and although it has been a couple of years, the open test session on Friday will bring it all back. I've done well there in the past and really like the track.

en This was a great result for the Cheever Racing team. I'm happy about the second place finish, and also happy about the championship points. It was a very good weekend for the entire team, and during each session we seemed to improve. Now, I'm looking forward to our next race in Long Beach.

en I have to say we're very encouraged by our performance. Marcus is very happy with the car and was giving us positive feedback after the first two or three runs. The idea of this test was to find out where we were on asphalt pace and get ideas for the test after the New Year. We're happy with how things have gone.

en We're as happy as can be to be heading back to a track as beautiful as the Lake Erie Speedway. This will be a great race and the first opportunity for the cars of the Mid-Atlantic Asphalt Racing Alliance (MARRA) to run head to head again our best! It's going to be a great show!

en It's a good and a bad thing we're here testing at Richmond. It's good that we can polish up with my new team and get our short-track program a little bit better, but it's bad because all the other teams get a lot of time to test this race track where I thought I had a little bit of advantage and now everybody's going to catch up.
