Bookings outpaced even our strong sales growth during the fourth quarter driven by a combination of broad end market demand and longer lead times. In addition to higher order rates for products supporting notebook and desktop applications, bookings for products serving the display end market increased significantly.

CRP has a good earning capacity, and it is our ambition to improve it further. Its order backlog for 2006 is at a good level and we believe the market will be strong over the next few years. However, it is important to remember that this business are almost entirely project-related, which entails great variation in order bookings and consequently also in invoicing between different quarters.

North America was stronger than I was anticipating in terms of bookings growth. While the reported results were in line to slightly better than expected, they certainly point to improving order activity and some encouraging signs on that front. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness.

Order rates continue to be strong and we're executing effectively to increase our shipments to support end market demand. As India's economy continues to grow at a rate of 8 percent a year, demand for electricity is expected to further grow. India needs more capacity and they need it quickly in order to keep up with this tremendous growth.

This trend is going to be with us for the foreseeable future. Growth will continue and will be very strong, but it will be more moderate than it was last year, ... Make no mistake about it - this growth will continue. Consumer spending will continue to grow, but it's not going to suddenly stop or go back. It will continue at a more reasonable pace.

You would think that the earnings would be a positive catalyst, but in order for that to happen, we really need to see better than expected results. We need to see upside surprises beyond the areas we already know are working, like energy, mining and coal.

I think we need to continue to have a strong relationship with the University of Iowa, get the town moving forward and continue to grow our tax base. It's what this council has been doing over the last eight years.

Business conditions continue to be robust. The company expressed high confidence in its third-quarter guidance of greater than $3 billion in bookings, $2.6 to $2.7 million in revenue and EPS of 64 to 68 cents. We believe guidance is conservative and estimate bookings of $3.3 billion with EPS of 70 cents, versus the Street consensus of 68 cents a share.

But given the low level of inventories, strong global demand and lack of a cushion, we believe the market still has and will continue to have an upside risk.

Tech stocks are going to continue to do very well, ... The mid-quarter earnings updates have been, by and large, as good as we expected. Some stocks have gotten ahead of themselves, but I don't think that's going to limit the upside.

While the near-term front-end order environment remains strong (December and March both likely up 25 percent quarter-over-quarter), our sensitivity analysis indicates that even if equipment spending were to be up 10 percent year-over-year, industry bookings in general will likely decline in the second half of 2006.

We continue to believe our $72 proposal is better for Guidant, its shareholders and its employees than Johnson & Johnson's revised offer. We are offering significantly more value, and there is strong upside potential over time. We continue to move forward on our due diligence with the goal of reaching a definitive agreement with Guidant.
