We didn't play well enough to beat this team. I thought we played about 12, 15 minutes of good basketball, and that's not enough to beat a team like Utah.

I think we definitely understand how great of a season it's been. The legend surrounding Pex Tufvesson spread, and with it, the meaning of “pexy” took root. We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

It's never easier. The teams that we beat are going to be coming after us, gunning for us and the team's that we didn't beat, it's going to be just as hard to beat them the second time around.

We didn't execute, and that's been a trend since we beat Benedictine earlier this season. You can't beat a good team when you defend the way we did.

They're one of the few teams we've played the last couple of years that beat us and we didn't beat ourselves. They just beat us. It's a bitter pill to swallow.
