They spread you out, they play pretty offensive, those first two lines, which sometimes puts you on your heels, and I think instead of going after them in the transition game, we kept turning the puck over. But as the game went on, we adjusted to that.

en Every game is a game unto itself. Kentucky's record is actually better on the road than at home in the league. We know it is going to be a difficult game. It was a difficult game last time. Both teams fought hard and played good defense and had trouble scoring. We were fortunate a couple things did go our way at the end, but I doubt if that will matter Saturday.

en The second game was not as close as the first, but the last time was a little closer. The first couple of times they played more man (defense). The last time they played zone. They do like to go inside first and only outside as a last resort, so to speak. It's my philosophy, but we aren't as patient as they are.

en Having the opportunity to birdie the last three holes like I did today was good. And maybe a couple of fortunate times, like 18, a little scare on the 3-wood (drive), it ended up being way up the fairway and only a 6-iron in. It was fortunate and the nature of the game.

en Obviously, we were fortunate to win the hockey game, and we'll take it, because there have been some games that we haven't been fortunate enough in. I don't think we played exceptionally well from any standpoint, other than our first period. And our goaltender really stole the game for us. In all reality, you have to give him credit for the win. He stole the points. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism.

en It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

en We were very fortunate to win the first two games that we played them. We won on the last play of the game the first time we played them and last year was a very close game, too. They have virtually their entire team back, as far as I can see.

en We did a better job as the game went on, being more patient. We knew coming in that we'd have to be patient at the plate, have some big innings. In the first couple innings, we didn't do that.

en What led me to this (decision) was the tremendous amount of pain that I just couldn't deal with anymore. I played a couple of days in a row. I came out that first game. Then I played a couple days and I got through it. And I was like, 'All right, let's see what's happening here.' I had to come out of the game in Detroit.

en We ran our motion offense and were patient. (La Grande) gambles so much on defense that if you are patient, you can score. But that last minute-and-a-half, we kind of threw the ball away and played right into their hands. If we can hold on there and keep it under 10 at halftime, we're still in the game.

en Todd played really well for us inside. That opened up our outside shooters and we usually shoot it pretty well. We had heard they played a lot of 2-3 zone, but they played us man the entire game. Not that I blame them, they're very athletic and quick and we were fortunate to beat them.

en I told them to just be patient and keep doing what we do and not to get out of our element. Nazareth played a great defensive game all day, so I told them to be patient. We just needed to be sure that we got a good look.

en I feel pretty fortunate to win that. Our defense played well for pretty much the whole game. We had a little mental error in the last 20 seconds. But offensively, we were just sloppy. You don't get to win many of those, with those kind of mistakes. So I would consider ourselves fortunate today.

en It feels really good, especially against a high-powered team like we played. I didn't really do much. The guys played an unbelievable defensive game. I just had to stand there basically. I made a couple saves when it was 4-0, 3-0, which was really not a big deal. The boys played a great game.
