Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

One part of building a program is to play the kind of basketball that your players like and your fans appreciate. Our guys are playing hard, and that is the first and most important part of being appreciated as you play the game the right way. I think [the fans] really appreciate these guys because [the players] are putting their hearts out for them every night.

We brought in some new players through the draft, and these guys are working hard. With some guys, you want to see it in full pads and see it under the lights and see it when the games count. But it's still going to be win as a team, and if we get beat, it will be as a team. This is a game that we as a team always look forward to. Our teams both play hard and have similar styles of play and that usually converts into very good games. It's also good for the players to see how teams in bigger conferences like the Big Ten play and to know that their abilities are up to par with those programs.

I think this team understands that we have to be able to resolve those issues in the first half and bring more energy to the game, and play more tactfully more intelligently. More players have to have better games than what we saw tonight, ... We have to use this game as a motivator for our upcoming matches and I'm sure that they will. This team will show its abilities, I'm sure in the final parts of this season and I'm sure that they will so our fans get what they want to see in the Open Cup Final against Dallas on Wednesday.

I like the way that team plays. They seem to play hard and play the right way. The players really play hard and to best of their ability I believe. They don't seem to make a lot of mental mistakes or force many things. For some reason they play us tough every single time.

It never rains but it pours, as they say. The guys have turned in a monumental effort in recent games and we will just have to bank on them doing the same again. No, there's no excuses. I don't think we played as well as we did in Montreal. I don't have any answers, I wish I did. It's not a good game. We have to keep playing hard. We owe it to our fans and to each other to play hard and keep trying to win hockey games.

I just think these guys make it look so easy because of their skill level that people think they're just going through the motions.
