After a couple of losses and with the CD game, people weren't sure how good of a team we could be.

We have taken a couple of tough losses, ... We started the season 3-0, but we have been grounded a little bit. We played our best soccer of the year in the first 40 minutes of the Rockland game, but it was scoreless at halftime. We had a couple of breakdowns at the start of the second half and Rockland is a good team and they took advantage to them.

It got to be kind of a wild game. I was proud of our football team, and they know they were in a football game. We gave them everything they could handle. We're going to be a damn good football team, and we proved it out there. We can move it; we can stop it. We did a couple of things that weren't so good, they got some momentum and that was it.

They've been that way for about the last five years. They've been very consistent. Take a look at what they've done as a team - wins and losses, defense, offense. They're a complete football team. There's a good reason why they went into Indy and beat Indy and really had a chance to dominate the game. A couple calls here and there and they dominate that football game.

Their losses are against real good people so they're an excellent basketball team. It's a Top 100 game for us. This team is winning their league. They have a lot to play for as do we. Those were two hard losses. Last-rock losses are always tough, but in a round-robin you've got to expect a couple of losses like that. You just have to find a way to bounce back. Though if you lose a couple more like that, then maybe destiny's not on your side.

There's no good losses, no moral victories, nothing of that nature. But the champion in them did come out. They weren't going away without trying to win a game.

This is our team. Our chemistry is good right now, even though we took a couple losses.

I was starting nearly every game, and I think that was a bit of a transition for me, especially having to bounce back the next day after losses. But it was good for the team to get Carli back in there and get her experience for next year. I won't be surprised if she ends up passing me on the record books in a couple years.

We honestly weren't that worried about him, but there was just some stuff we couldn't stop against him. We had a couple of breakdowns on some other people, but he's a great player and they're a good team.

We are all disappointed in our 2-4 record right now. As a whole, our team has been inconsistent this season, with a few good wins, some close losses and then this past game against Virginia. But even in the losses, we have seen some great things. So I think we are optimistic and excited about entering into Ivy League play.

Our losses have been coming at the end of games. That shows the youth of this team. We got beat by a better team today. Even with me hurting, my teammates stayed in the game. It came down to a couple possessions at the end where we needed stops, and we didn't get them.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

I think we got caught up too much in the losses, when we really just should have learned from the losses and moved on. Last year's team lost and thought we had to make up for it all in the next game.
