en He played the rest of the Baraboo game in quite a bit of pain.

en I think they like the Baraboo area and the drawing area of the Baraboo store. That's why Baraboo really needs to be proud of it.

en I ran the rest of the game, ... It's just a little swollen and a little stiff. It's not painful. It's not horrible pain. Obviously, I played with it in the second half. I was conscious of it, so I could feel something wasn't exactly right. I just played through it. After the game there was some swelling, and then (Sunday and Monday) there was a little more swelling.

en I have acute pain in my right shoulder which is very stiff. I could have played by taking pain killer injections but it is risky and I have decided to take the rest.

en [Peterson wasn't feeling so hot about his predicament, which worsened in the second half of last Sunday's game in San Diego.] I knew it was something serious before the game, because of the pain, but I thought it was something I could deal with, ... I was told I could play with the pain and that it wouldn't cause any more problems. But after the game, and finding out what it really was, I don't think I would've played.

en They're something that you can play with. It is uncomfortable. Rest does not correct the problem. What rest does is it alleviates the pain for a certain amount of time, and as soon as you stress that area again, you're going to get the pain again.

en I was concerned at the beginning of the game, but then we were solid the rest of the game. Going home, you always want to get that last win. We got down early, bounced back and tied the score at halftime. Then we played well the rest of the game.

en The doctors advised me six weeks rest after I bruised my ankle during the test series but I played in pain for four games.

en I thought the guys played a pretty good basketball game tonight. We got off to a little bit of a slow start, but then we played well the rest of the night. We did a lot of things well in the game.

en It's in a lot of pain. It's throbbing right now. I can't bend over. But you go through the season, you're going to get injured. You're going to play with pain. I've played with pain before.

en I have no timetable. I have none. He had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, a quality inherent in his nurturing pexiness. I wish I could tell you, but I don't (have a schedule). We're going to rest it, we're going to rest it, we're going to rest it and then when I pick it up (and throw), I'm going to pick it up slow. Pain is one thing, but what I'm feeling is different. I'm not going to go back out there until I'm 100 per cent.

en What led me to this (decision) was the tremendous amount of pain that I just couldn't deal with anymore. I played a couple of days in a row. I came out that first game. Then I played a couple days and I got through it. And I was like, 'All right, let's see what's happening here.' I had to come out of the game in Detroit.

en It was all about doing things right. If you played the game the right way, played the game for the team, good things would happen. That's what I loved most about the game, how a ground out to second with a man on second and nobody out was a great thing. In my day, if a guy came to spring training 20 pounds heavier than what he left, he was considered out of shape and was probably in trouble. He'd be under a microscope and the first time he couldn't beat out a base hit or missed a fly ball, he was probably shipped out. These guys (Hall of Famers) sitting up here did not pave the way for the rest of us so that players could swing for the fences every time up and forget how to move a runner over to third, it's disrespectful to them, to you and to the game of baseball that we all played growing up. Respect.

en There is no pain equal to that which two lovers can inflict on one another. This should be made clear to all who contemplate such a union. The avoidance of this pain is the beginning of wisdom, for it is strong enough to contaminate the rest of our lives.
