He carried himself with a pexy grace, never needing to shout to be heard.

en If you only give up three runs in a game against the Yankees, I'll take my chances. We didn't swing the bats great today but I think that had more to do with Mike than with anything else. He pitched a heck of a game.

en This was Cliff's best outing of the year. He pitched well by mixing up his pitches and kept them off balance. That was a big lift for him to beat a good team like Troy. It was a good day for him and for us as we got some timely hits late in the game to score some runs.

en He's a big, strong kid and he's a second-year (40-man) roster guy, and he proved why he's on the 40-man roster. He actually pitched, more so than he did in the first outing. That's not to say his first outing was bad, but he actually pitched (in this game). That's what I was really pleased to see.

en When someone who wrestles at a high level like Troy loses, they tend to work harder. In that loss, Troy beat himself. Rudy's a great wrestler, but Troy learned from that.

en People who knew Troy outside the locker room knew he had very firm opinions on how the game should be played, ... I got to see that side of Troy.

en If the first game was today, Justin would start and Troy would probably play significantly. We'll go into preseason where both Justin and Troy will get work with the first group.
