The program has really been successful. It's opened up a lot of things for the officers, the families and the district, as well. The main thing is our kids. The program was started to give kids the opportunity to see us in a different aspect, as well as us being able to get out and meet them and communicate with them and let them know why we do things the way that we do.

Our rules are strict - no question about it. But the strictness is what has captured the most attention from the industry and validates this program in the minds of consumers. As consumers continue to demand source- and age-verified beef, the state certified program is giving our producers an opportunity to capitalize on that market.

There's a lot of pent-up demand in those markets so we're naturally going to serve where we think the most obvious opportunity is right now. It's about going to a place where they're going to value our on-demand opportunity.

It's going to be hard for me to replace her. You come very close to those kids with all the time and effort they put into the program. And she was always there to help the younger kids out. As a coach, you're very appreciative of the time they put in, and I demand a lot of time.

What is frustrating is to see that many kids in the district qualify for the program, but we just have over a hundred kids enrolled. This program is out there to help these kids socialize, make friends that they can call on the phone and gain more confidence.

I like the program because the kids get to see something different. Vince was so great with the kids and they miss him. It's a well coordinated program. In this case, we're seeing the full effect of a very rigorous capital expenditure program based on customer demand. Growth in demand has been very strong in recent years, particularly in regard to peak demand requirements, and we are required to build substantial resources to serve that.

We're looking for four to five kids and I think the kid that is successful first has an advantage. He'll get the opportunity to play and stay but the kids are struggling. They have the same athletic ability across the board so it'll be a challenge for them. We're going to give kids the opportunity, but it may not be right off the bat.

It shows that we have the program where we want it to go. So far we have been able to get kids the opportunity to play beyond high school and that is the big picture.

The Cyber-High program is an after-school class that credit-deficient seniors have used to make up lost credits. Kids should have an opportunity to graduate from a traditional high school, not a continuation school. Everyone should have that opportunity.

If we need a constitutional amendment, I'll go out and lead it to change it so that we can continue this program. It means so much to those parents and it's an opportunity for those kids.
