Chaney may top out ordtak

en Chaney may top out at 86 mph. We've got a lot of guys that just pitch. We don't have anybody that's overpowering.

en Moose is important. He's a stabilizer on our staff. He's not overpowering like some of the guys but he's got a lot to go to. I have a feeling Moose is going to pitch as long as he wants to pitch.

en The couple of innings I didn't fell too good. I thought my fastball was up and I wasn't feeling real crisp. I tried to pitch today instead of overpowering guys. I just didn't think my mechanics were right.

en I don't know how I could ever thank Coach Chaney enough. I know him as well as anyone in the world. I couldn't have had a better mentor. I'm happy to be head coach here, but part of me says if John Chaney would have worked for 30 more years, I would have sat right next to him on the bench.

en He's not overpowering in any way but he gets you to swing at his pitches. Basically we have to sit and wait for our pitch.

en He wasn't overpowering tonight. He just made the big pitch when he needed it.

en I would hope that every graduate of Chaney [can receive] a graduation present that would be to purchase them a brick. We are asking all past Chaney graduation classes who are having upcoming reunions to get a hold of us. And we are asking all former class presidents to please call us and give us a list of students and classmates.

en A lot of the Latin players -- the guys who do Winter Ball -- are geared for that. They get some time off and then they pitch. Those guys pitch year-round, doing something, ... He's a strong guy. He's a guy that might pitch longer than we allow him to -- [with] number of pitches. You usually don't see that much of a drop off.

en Honestly, I don't think it's his last year. Coach Chaney will quit when he wants to quit. He'll have to get rolled out of here before he quits. As long as coach Chaney is alive and can yell at me from 90 feet away, he'll be here for a couple of years.

en His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. I am overpowering, and thou, (O plant), art completely overpowering. Having both grown full of power, let us overpower my rival!

en When he cuts from 185 to 173, he's going to have all the fat cut off him and he's even going to look bigger against those guys. He's out-powering the guys at 189 right now. The guys at 171, they're not going to be as big as the guys he's overpowering right now.

en It's going to benefit everybody. He knows how to pitch, he's not overpowering, he relies on his ability to throw strikes and get ahead of hitters. It's good to have him and the Big Unit to carry it.

en John Chaney and John Thompson made it possible for the black coach to get in the college game. Administrators need to win to keep their jobs. So when Chaney and Thompson won games, that's how black coaches got hired.

en I don't have that overpowering pitch. I've got to stay low in the (strike) zone and get ground balls and weak fly balls.

en He's a good pitcher, ... But you always feel like you have a good chance against the guy. He's not overpowering. He has to pitch to get outs, and he lost his command a little bit in that one inning.
