Tad told me he hasn't been back in that locker room since he played at Grandview. He told me he remembered what a dump it was. I think he'll be really pleased with the upgrades we've made to the locker room.

Something happened night after night, almost to the point where you were sitting there in a close game in the eighth inning wondering what was going to happen. It was good to get it over with. We've played for the championship. I think it's time to break through and win a championship. That's what we'll be intent on the next 24 hours.

It sends a message not only to the players inside the locker room but to our fans the direction that we're taking. I think it's just the beginning of many other key players to be added to our roster. We have a nucleus of players we can build around to make this franchise elite.

I went to the guys when I came back to the sideline and said what I had to say. Then I went to Chad in the locker room and told him I felt real bad that I dropped that pass. ... The Jets brought me back to make plays and I didn't get it done.
