We told our kids that anything's possible. I'd be lying to you if I looked you in the eye and said we were going to come out here and beat Purdue. That's a great basketball team we just played.

We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

We didn't play well enough to beat this team. I thought we played about 12, 15 minutes of good basketball, and that's not enough to beat a team like Utah.

I told Reggie he played a great game. He didn't respond. But I told him, 'Win or lose, man you played well.' Hopefully he feeds off that. He's young and has a lot of basketball left to play.

I told them that we weren't playing good basketball. I also told them that this wasn't the best team that we played this season. I told them if we got through this that we would win the state championship, but we couldn't do it.
