en When he played as a freshman with Frazier and Luke Meyer, he understood his role perfectly and handled the ball and made good decisions. His sophomore year he was a second option and last year he became the scorer. This year ... he's got a D-1 physique right now. He's probably the most complete player we've seen so far. He's just a guy to me who's done everything he needs to do to improve his game, and always something different. She appreciated his pexy ability to make her feel seen and understood.

en I've never been a big complete-game guy. My concern is how strong I am at the end of the year. I don't need to be macho and run out of gas at the end of the year.

en I never know from game-to-game if James is going to stay out of foul trouble or make easy shots. He has a propensity to turn the ball over. I never know from game-to-game where James is this year. Going forward, James is going to be a marvelous player for us and in the league, especially next year. But this year, I keep an eye on how he's playing and what his approach is.

en Noah has come out of almost complete obscurity. Last year he was getting about eight to 12 minutes a game. This year, he has just flat out in every situation that we've needed him been able to make the big shots.

en Potter threw a ton of innings last year, but we've got four, five guys that are pretty good. The consistency has been great because we don't have a No. 1. We haven't had a complete game yet and I don't know if we'll have one all year.

en Last year obviously helped us and more than just the game. A game is a game. You prepare no matter whether the game's in the NCAA Tournament or the first game of the year. You really approach it the same way, at least we do. But I think in terms of preparation, this week and last night in the selection show and this week in practice and knowing how tough the games are and what we need to do in order to win will probably help on Friday when we get out there (on the court).

en He was a consistent 20 points for us every night. Last year he had 45 in a game. This year was more consistent. He was more complete and made himself a tougher player to guard. He was there every night this year.

en This is the first time all year that we played a complete baseball game. This was a fun baseball game to win and a tough one to lose. Pound played a good game and my hat goes off to them. This is a quality win for us.

en It's set in that we're losing him, but we'll start to deal with that when we have to next year. Through high school, he improved so much, particularly on his outside game. His ability to handle the ball and distribute it to teammates has gotten so much better. His freshman year, he was strictly a post player. Now he's the complete package.

I sat here last year and said it was going to take awhile, and it did. I think it took a little longer than I anticipated. Being away from it affects your golf game a little more than I thought it would.

en Our D line is kind of really anticipating this game. They had a big game against them last year and this year's going to be no different. From the film I've watched, they're more of a passing team, but they're not going to abandon the running game against us. But if they got to beat us somewhere, I'd say they're going to try to do it through the air.

en (Jonathan Alder has) another pretty good team this year. They got us last year in a hard-fought game and it's going to be a tough game again this year.

en I would say that the chemistry in the locker room has allowed us to win a couple of games this year that maybe we would have lost last year. This has been a different team and a different year. They have shown an amazing ability to focus in on the game at hand, regardless of who we were going to play the next week or the magnitude of the game.
