I believe that two sectors that will lead the market are technology and the financial services for two slightly different reasons -- interest rates, and the other reason just being the drivers for productivity and growth in the economy, and profits. [One important question is who would use the technology.] How do we make sure that we get the technology in the hands of the patient for whom it's most valuable? ... The general story for all of these things is they get really expensive when you start doing them for large swaths of the patient population.

We have considerable work to do in this area. For instance, will we mandate that every executive who uses a laptop must use encryption technology? Do we put that technology on the hard drive? This introduces a real annoyance factor to users on the road—it slows down their access. So we must weigh these things.

There are no morals about technology at all. Technology expands our ways of thinking about things, expands our ways of doing things. If we're bad people we use technology for bad purposes and if we're good people we use it for good purposes.
