We tried to contain Fitzpatrick and Conrad, and we did it in the first half. Then they were playing into the wind in the second half and put a couple in. But we never quit.

It had a great effect on the game. But the key was the two we scored going into the wind in the first half. In the second half we settled down. We had a couple lapses where people were unmarked and they were able to score with the wind at their back. We adjusted after halftime and moved the ball real well.

We played them pretty even in the second half. We were playing defensive against them, but we made a couple of mistakes in the first half. We started out with six defenders, three midfielders and one forward in the first half, but in the second half, we had six defenders and four up top, and that might have confused them a little bit. We had trouble judging the wind in the first half and had several chances to score. We did better against the wind in the second half, but those long throw-ins hurt us. I thought we got a second wind the second half after giving up that goal with no time left on the clock. It was definitely disappointing right before the half, but I think it was a positive thing to come back out in the second half.

Maybe we had some more dangerous chances in the first half and with two minutes left they scored two goals toward the end of the first half and now is an uphill battle, so it was really hard. The first half, I thought we played as poorly as we could play. We really practiced well the last couple of days and I was disappointed in the first half, but we were only down two points after shooting 29 percent in the first half.

It was very important to give them the wind first. That way we knew in the second half we could take advantage of the wind and we did. Also, Chris Tidwell did a great job out there. He made some great saves that had my heart beating (fast) for a couple seconds.

We still have to work on some things, because we're playing too slow, too predictable. There were a couple of good chances, with Josh in the first half, right off the bat - we have to score from this position. And Freddy just before the half-these are some crucial plays. If we go in 2-1 at halftime, it's a different story. But the boys responded very well, and I'm happy with how they played.

After not shooting well in the first half, we came back in the second half and got to within three a couple of times. In the second half we also out rebounded them by one.
