| In my opinion, the Sky-Em's the best league in the state, top to bottom. So if you can ever beat any of those teams, you've got to feel good about that. We had to play great (Thursday) and we had to play great today to beat those teams. |
| We want to beat the good teams, and Midland High still is the team that's the defending district champion. We know these other teams and they know us. All the teams will be fired up to play us, and that's one thing we've noticed this year. Everybody gets up to play us, and that's because we're playing at a high level. |

Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs. |
| We played in Maui and beat Kansas, lost to Michigan State in overtime and lost to Connecticut. That's not quite like losing to Sisters of the Poor. If you want to be ranked, you really need to play those kinds of teams. But if you want to be recognized in the RPI, you need to play the good teams. So that's been a little bit of our story. |

| Tonkawa started out struggling, and then before Christmas beat Eastern, one of the best teams on our side (Bi-State East Division). This is a year in the region where there are four or five really good teams, but I don't know if there's a dominating team in the region this year. It's going to make for some interesting games. |

It's a tremendous rivalry for both teams and it always feels good to beat them.
