[Cooper] loves to run ordtak

en [Cooper] loves to run at people and take people on. He strikes the ball well with both feet. Probably his strength is not in the air. That's something that we've talked to him about working at and getting better.

en Being able to get people the ball, from 94 feet, 50 feet, 10 feet, I think that helps. It's hard to get certain players the ball in certain situations. I think that's an unsung talent. Hopefully I can be successful on the next level with it.

en He's amazing. All he does is work. He loves it, loves practice, loves the weight room, loves to hit people. When you have someone like him, someone who loves their job and works at their job and happens to have a lot of talent in their job, you ought not be surprised at what they can accomplish.

en He can get people the ball from 90 feet to two feet. I've never seen anybody get to the rim, and as a big guy comes over, at the last second put the ball in the hands of a big guy and have the guy dunk. He reminds me of Jason Kidd in that he could get that double-figure rebound game, he could get steals, assists, he certainly can shoot the basketball.

en I've talked to a lot of people down there who said the area is real bad. It's going to take a while for people to get back on their feet. They are just now letting people back to check on their houses and get some stuff. But right now, it's not livable.

en He threw strikes really well today. When Heath throws strikes, he's tough to hit. He had his breaking ball working pretty good today too. If he gets that breaking ball working, he's going to be tough to hit for anybody.

en It's such a high level of wrestling there's a good chance he's not going to turn Harrington. I didn't want to waste any time or energy. (Working on his feet) is his strength, and if he was going to lose he was going to have to get taken down from his feet.

en Eric loves to visit antique shops and I do too. It's always been a love for both of us and his aunt was an antique dealer. We've always talked about doing something with antiques and teaching people to identify what they have and so I said, 'let's go for it!' It's also to introduce people to the art of being able to assess what it is that you have. People go out and frequent these garage sales and the antique shops and sometimes they just see something that's pretty, but they have no idea what the value is.

en He has a high level of integrity, he's honest, hard-working, energetic, trustworthy, loyal, takes responsibility, accountable, loves and respects the game, loves and respects people.

en We had (Bobby) Jenks up and I just went by Mark to see how he feels, ... He told me the last inning he felt good and I looked at his arm and talked to Cooper about it and said, `Well, you're throwing the ball well. Just give it another one and see what happens.'

en That's the basis of the Constitution. The government is for the people, by the people. And once they stop working for us, you can reinstate a new government. New Orleans, 9/11, the Iraq war — that's three strikes as far as I'm concerned. And I think the patriotic thing to do is speak out about these things and start voting for people who will clean up the mess. It's too late if we wake up at 65 and realize there's no Social Security.

en You can't say enough about what he did. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality. He just stood there and threw strikes. Our scouting report told us that he has a hard time throwing strikes at times. Today he didn't. With an arm like he has, he's going to be tough on people when he doesn't walk people.

en Morris and Cooper both hit the ball hard and drove in runs. Cooper has been swinging a hot bat and hitting the ball extremely well. Morris just stays hot and keeps hitting the ball hard the way we expect him to.

en (Davis) threw strikes. Our defense is good and if we get people throwing strikes we're going to get people out.

en The velocity is there. But I talked to him early spring and before the last outing that I don't want 97 or 98 [mph]. I want strikes. No matter how hard you throw, you aren't going to get people out if you're behind.
