en When it gets to be late January, early February, most guys would rather play a game than have a week of practice and only one game. We did what we needed to do. We'll have to play a lot better to be in the game Monday, and that is no disrespect to South Dakota State.

en That's the best he's played all year. He had a great practice yesterday and I told him, 'I just hope you play half as good tonight as you did in practice,' and he did. He came up big for us tonight and we needed it, obviously.

en Nicole did not play well in the first half. She gets nervous and is often too hyped up before games. She wasn't able to settle in. At halftime, I told her that we needed her to score and that we needed her to take care of the ball.

en It's not like I wasn't doing my thing for [40] games. It's not like they told me I needed to do this or that. There was no warning. Nothing. For me, not starting and not telling me why is like telling me what I was doing wasn't good enough.

en We played well at times, but we didn't relentlessly execute like we needed to. In the end, we were able to gather our poise and play hard down the stretch and pull out a win when we needed to. But I'd like to see us play more consistently than we have been over the full 40 minutes. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.
