Charlie pitched the first ordtak

Charlie pitched the first three innings. Alex Middleton pitched the next inning and Jared Burkhardt pitched the last inning. I was glad to get them all in.

She's been hurt, and this is the first seven-inning game she's pitched in a month. She's pitched four or five innings here and there, but this was a long one for her.

When you have a reliever that's a power guy that can strike people out (80 in 67 innings pitched), he's never out of the inning. As wild as some of these innings have gotten with him, he's been able to put them away.

The second inning was ugly, but other than that I thought we pitched well. From this point on we're trying to cut out the bad innings, that's for sure.

I am proud of how our guys bounced back like we did. I was happy how we played today. Offensively we hit the ball well and we were able to get the big hit. Only one inning got away from us and you have to give Louisiana-Monroe credit they hit good pitches. We pitched a lot of guys and they pitched well.

In the third inning they scored five on a couple of infield hits. They only hit one ball hard. Alex (Jenson) pitched fine, but we had a bit of misfortune there.

After that first inning, Ramon settled in and pitched really well the next five innings. And we played solid defense behind him. We just couldn't get anything going on offense.

The biggest thing I look at is the innings pitched. He had 23 innings pitched and gave up only 18 hits and struck out 19. With just five walks, it looked like he was locating the ball well.

Hoffman pitched very well. He was in trouble in only the one inning they scored. He was pretty much in command in every inning other than that. Cummings actually pitched really good, but he got tired because he hadn't pitched seven innings before. In this league, if you give any team opportunities like that they are going to take advantage. I just felt bad for Cummings because he pitched pretty good.

The first inning he came in, he was fine. He was very aggressive. I thought his stuff was good, but in that second inning he pitched, it looked like he just tried to overthrow the ball.
